At the beginning of 2024, I decided that I wanted to improve my skills with 3d printing, and electronics. What better way to do so than to build an over-engineered, top of the line 3d printer from scratch.
I sourced all the parts from AliExpress, or printed them myself with the 3d printers available to me at the UoA Design Lab.
My 3D Printer is a 300mm Voron r2.4.
It has:
a Raspberry Pi 5 running a webserver interface
an SB2209 toolhead CAN bus board
a TriangleLabs TCHC TD6S Hotend

After putting the frame together and wiring everything up, the last thing I had to do was to flash the firmware onto the motherboard and the toolhead board.
Not pictured is about a week’s worth of work trying to figure out exactly how to do so.
